15 Thursdays Before Christmas ~Fan Ornaments

Hi, Sweet Friends!

There is only 15 Thursdays Until Chrismas! For some of you, this is no trouble and you never may give it a thought until this week of Christmas.

However, many of you are looking at these weeks before Chrismas and making your decorations, creating gifts, and making foods to freeze, can, and give away. It is a busy time in our house from August to Christmas!

This 2nd of 16 posts and we will be on making Paper Folded Fans. 

You will need to have a few things before you start this project.

#2 Paper Fan Ornaments

Supplies:

Printed paper in two patterns that go well together. & Patterned paper to use for the center decoration.
scissors
clear tape, like "Scotch Tape"
glue stick
string or twine

* Other ideas are to double the fan paper before folding it so it is double sided or attach more than one fan together to make a fan circle.

Directions:

1.  Begin by cutting out squares in 3" x 3", in all the colors of patterned paper you chose.
   
2. Cut 6 of patterned paper(Reds & Creams, 6 total). Only 4 are shown in the photos. 
3. Instructions for fan folding.
   
   

 4. Gluestick the edge of the fan across the end and pinch the folded piece in half (we won't be doing the last two pictures, but it is a great way to make an additional type of ornament).

5. Add a piece of clear tape at the middle back to keep it tightly together.

6. Using a patterned paper piece with multi design, cut one of the designs out and gluestick it to the bottom center. See photo above.

7. Cut all the lengths of the string/twine the same length. 6 pieces in total. Tie each of the 6 pieces through the top middle of the fan. You will have to make a tiny hole and tie ends in a loop.

Now they are ready to hang on the Christmas Tree!
