Delicious One Pot Meal CJD.Sign
Directions: Boil the ham covered with water,  in a large pot over med-high heat for 2 hours. Start to pull ham off the bone as it is cooking. Add the carrots and cook 1 hour more. Add the cabbage & onion and cook 1 hour more.  Total cook time 4 hours. We do go 6 to 8 in the slow cooker! Save Broth for next days Cabbage Soup. *NOTE* Since I have found I am not able to eat ham with so much salt, we now soak the ham 6 hrs in cold water, change the water, soak again 6 hours, change the water, and then cook the ham in fresh water for the desired time. This debrining helps removed a lot of the salt. Not all of it, mind you, but a lot of it.

This has to be the easiest meal I have ever made. Litterly, put the ingredients in the pot, cover and let cook!
