Happy Mother's Day to all our Mother's near and far! We hope you enjoy your special day just the way you want to :)
Mother's Day was first suggested by Julia Ward Howe in 1872, however, Anna Jarvis created the special Mother's Day in 1908 and became a National Holiday in 1914. Julia and Anna even made a club for Mother's that taught women how to care properly for their children.
Historically, women and mother's have been celebrated as far back as Roman and Greek History where mothering was honored. Christian's then called it Mothering Sunday. We believe that Eve was our first Mother and Jesus' Mother, Mary are women that also should be honored on Mother's Day.
I am pleased to have a Mom, who isn't my birth-mom, but the wonderful woman, I call "Mom", who has been in my life since I was a small child. This woman, I am honored to call Mom!
Happy Mother's Day, Mom! You deserve the honor! I love you bunches and bunches :)
