This delicious meat pie is packed with mushrooms, onions, and stewed tomatoes. Unlike the Guinness Irish Recipe, this one has no alcohol. And is delicious none the less.

16 oz. mushrooms, sliced
2 cans (20 ozs.) diced tomatoes, drained and save the liquid
1 refrigerated pie crust, from 14.1 oz. pkg just one
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Mix flour, Italian seasoning, garlic, sage, rosemary, and pepper in the dutch oven.
- Toss the beef cubes in the flour mixture.
- Spray large dutch oven with non-stick cooking spray.
- Add the flowered seasoned beef and onions into the pot.
- Cook the beef and onions on medium-high heat for 3 minutes or until browned, stirring occasionally.
- Add remaining ingredients, bay leaves, except the pie crust; mix well. Bring to boil.
- Add the drained tomato liquid.
- Add the beef broth to the water and pour into Dutch oven.
- Cook liquid down by half, about 30 minutes or a bit more.
- Pour filling into 9-inch deep dish pie plate or 2-quart round baking dish. *we broke our baking dish and had to use a larger dish, but plating it was a bit of a pile. I topped with a piece of the crust to add the desired look.
- Top with pie crust. Seal the edges by folding over the edges like above photo.
- Cut several air vents by slits in the top.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes untill bubbling or until crust is golden brown.
- Let sit for about 15 to 20 minutes as it plates up much better when filling is set.
- Serves 6
