Today we will take you to the Blue Mesa Lake area of Cimarron, Colorado.

We took a day trip with the pup, Raider On The Go, and went wading in Blue Mesa Lake. The water was a bit chilly but felt nice while we were in the hot sun.
A little history about Blue Mesa and the Lake area. Blue Mesa is part of the Curicanti National Recreation Area. Blue Mesa Lake is the largest trout fishery lake in Colorado.

Raider loved the water. Though it is a bit cold in Spring!

These two girls braved the cold Spring water at the lake! It was crystal clear and refreshing!

 As we headed home, we came across this young female Mountain Goat. She looks to be pregnant. 
A fun day, lots of sun and the water was refreshing.
