Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower in April Thru May 2020
We enjoy Sky Watching and like to get the telescope out for some, however, we also like to just sit on the porch and watch Meteor Showers.
This year, 2020, there will be many neat sky events to see. I found this calendar of events for the year on SeaSky.org.

On May 6th and 7th, the Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower can be seen.
Mark your calendars. This meteor shower will produce above average of 60 meteors per hour and will be spectacular in the Southern Hemisphere, however, in the Northern Hemisphere you will see approximately 30 meteors per hour. This is an annual event that runs from April 19th to May 28th and is a direct result of Haley's Comet. It peaks on the night of the 6th and the morning of the 7th of May. With the nearly Full Moon almost upon us, the brighter night sky will be less than perfect for viewing the Eta Aquarids Meteor Showers. However, if you can find a dark area and be patient around Midnight, you may seem some spectacular meteors. Some the meteors will have tails of dust and they will be mostly in the area of the Aquarius Constellation. However, you may see the brightest anywhere in the sky. Just be patient.
