1000 Pounds Of Salad Products Recalled

Nearly 100K pounds of salad products recalled due to possible E. coli contamination 

 "Nearly 100,000 pounds of salad products containing meat and poultry have been recalled due to possible E. coli contamination, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Thursday." 6ABC News

 The brands and locations affected are:
"Product brands include Bonduelle, Aldi Bistro, Marketside, Target Good & Gather, Ready Pac, Domino's and Signature Farms."

And
"Product shipped to distribution locations in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin."

The recall includes various ready-made salads sold under store brands from Walmart, Target, ALDI, Safeway, and others. A full list of affected products can be found here.

 "According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service, Hemolytic uremic syndrome, a type of kidney failure, is uncommon with STEC 0157:H7 infection. Hemolytic uremic syndrome is most common in children under 5 years old, older adults and those with weakened immune systems. It is marked by easy bruising, pallor and decreased urine output.

Anyone experiencing those symptoms should seek emergency medical care immediately, authorities advise." The Patch
