Is Russian Sage Edible?
Hi, Sweet Friends!
I'm finally in my new office and I am loving it!!
Today, I went to the garden and picked some Russian Sage and White Onion Flowers! I wanted something fun and fragrant for my new desk and I so am loving these flowers! Of course they are making me so so so hungry!
I popped this cute little bouquet of fragrance on the desk and it is picking up the smells of summer with the sage and onion.

I love fresh garden flowers in the house, but with MAD Hubbies allergies, they usually end up in my office, which is plenty fine with me!

So, I got interested to see if you could eat these Russian Sage leaves or flowers. I, of course, I googled Is Russian Sage Edible? and I found some great info. The first link stated that it would be good in potpourri. That if you ate the flowers as garnish, go light at first to make sure you don't have a food allergy to the flowers. It really isn't like the herbal Sage in our gardens. And the name "Russian Sage" didn't come from Russia, but from the Russian General who brought it West from Asia. I thought that was pretty cool! I wonder what the name would have been if he weren't Russian?
I love all herbs and spices. I did say to MAD Hubby that he needs to let me know if these flowers & fragrances bother him in any way.
I hope you have a wonderful week ahead.
