Homemade Granola ~ Friday Foods
I'm always trying new foods and preparations. This has been one that I have searched for a long time that had exactly the things I like in it. I hope you will try it!
Paula Nall shared this recipe for her Homemade Granola with us! Thank you, Paula!
Homemade Granola:
3 cups old fashioned oats
1 cup raw hulled pumpkin seeds
1 cup raw hulled sunflower seeds
1 cup unsweetened coconut chips ( couldn’t find any so substituted raw almonds)
1 1/4 cup raw pecan halves
3/4 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 cup good olive oil ( weird I know, but it works)
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
Pinch of coarse salt to taste
Heat oven to 300F
Stir all ingredients well and place on parchment-lined baking sheet
Stir every 15 minutes until oats are golden brown (about 45 minutes)
Set out to cool and sprinkle with salt to taste
Let cool completely and store in an airtight container

*I found the raw foods at our local Whole Foods shop. The containers I used were Glad (purple topped rectangle) food storage containers at Walmart
