Squash Soup Bowls

Hi, Sweet Friends!

I have a fun and easy way to serve up Winter soup using squash for Soup Bowls! These cute squash bowls are the perfect addition for a party, New Year's Celebration, or just for the family on a fun Winter's night.
Start by gathering these colorful variegated pumpkin-shaped squash. Rinse with cool water.
Cut the squash by placing the knife just at the top curve, as shown above on the left. Don't cut the squash in half, like the squash on the right.

Remove the seeds and fleshy strings inside the bowl and on the top piece.
A spoon works well for rounding the inside bowl where the soup will be served.
Below are two videos showing how to cut and make the Squash Bowls.

Rinse the squash bowls and dry the inside with paper toweling. When the soup is ready to serve, fill the bowls on the serving plate where they will be used. This will avoid tipping the bowls and spilling the soup.

Here are a few great recipes to serve in these cute Squash Bowls:

Creamy Butternut Squash Soup

 Creamy Loaded Potato Soup

Homemade Tomato Soup

Enjoy the week after New Years with joy in your heart!
