My Christmas Winter Village

Hi, Sweet Friends!

I have loved Christmas Villages since my Grandmother placed hers under her tree, in the 1980s, for my children. She had a "Santa Express" train that ran around the whole underneath of the Christmas tree.

She strategically placed presents between the train tracks and the tree. This scene at Christmas Time was quite a nice memory. 

My village started in North Carolina when my children we little. My Winter Village consisted of 4 large Lighthouses that I placed on the mantle or our Library Table from November through March.

My Nativity is very odd due to the Baby Jesus coming from a set my children had of the Holy Family being Native American Indians and these carved ones with the Baby Jesus missing.

The train is an ornament we picked up in  2000 and the Train Station, with horn and train sounds, came from a train set we owned in 2007.

This arial view of the scene shows the levels of the two tables under the covering and the "snow". I guess this would be the "drone view!"

Skiers, skaters, bikers, and sledders all join in the fun. *Place a small mirror on the "snow" for a pond the skaters can skate on.

The trees are bottle brush trees collected through the years.

We picked up Gazebos one year to add to the little town.

The village starts on tables, wraps the room on the cills, and finishes up on the mantle.

This is my first piece, a lighted Light House and we added a fisher boy too.

The Jewelry Shop, a Bake Sale, Gazebo, and The Good Shepherd Church.

My favorite shop, the Mistletoe Tea Room also has a balcony and a metal bistro set!

And the back side of the village with the tree. *Tip: cut the glittered felt in waves to resemble snow instead of cutting it straight.
