Cauliflower and Lettuce Being Recalled
Hi, Sweet Friends,
Another Recall in effect.
UPDATE***
"OTTAWA — The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has announced a recall of certain types of cauliflower and lettuce due to possible E. coli contamination.
In a post on its website, the agency says the products were produced by California-based Adam Bros. Farming Inc. and distributed in at least six provinces: Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, P.E.I. and Newfoundland and Labrador.
"Cauliflower, red leaf lettuce and green leaf lettuce harvested at the end of November is being recalled amid E. coli fears." ~ MSN
Adams Bros. Farming Inc. is doing this voluntary recall due to a residue that tested positive for E. coli traces where these plants were grown.
They also told what areas were sent the questionable E. coli feared foods for sale.
"The cauliflower was distributed to wholesalers in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, while the red leaf and green leaf lettuce were not distributed to New York, New Jersey or Connecticut." ~ MSN
The information from the Press Release shows more widespread distribution.
"Cauliflower was distributed to wholesalers in AZ, CA, IL, LA, MD, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA. Tijuana, Mexico, and Canada; red and green leaf lettuce was distributed to wholesalers in CA, CO, OR, TX, PA, WA, and Canada; red leaf lettuce only was distributed to a wholesaler in MN, and Tijuana, Mexico." ~ Press Release
If you have purchased these foods from November 27, 2018, to November 30, 2018, take them back to the store you purchased them from. Please read the complete press release for all the information. Press Release
