National Doughnut Day!
Today is National Doughnut Day! The day is marked on the first Friday of June each year. This tradition was started by "The Salvation Army in Chicago in 1938 to honor those of their members who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I." Wikipedia
Many Doughnut Shops and Stores are participating. Check your local Walmart, Poppa John's Pizza, Krispy Kreme, and Dunkin Doughnuts are all on the list. There may be more in your local area! Some retailers are giving doughnuts away FREE! Walmart & Krispy Kreme in our area.
