My Christmas Prayer For You
You are not alone, God is always with you. This Christmas, when we Celebrate the Savior's Birth, know in your hearts that you are not alone. Someday it all works out, you go through valleys and hills, you dance and sing, you cry and weep, and God is there through it all with you.
This Christmas, my prayer for you is one from Robert Lewis Stevenson.
Robert Lewis Stevenson was born on November 13, 1850. He was an accomplished writer with familiar titles as, Treasure Island, Kidnapped, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He died December 3, 1894 of apoplexy. He was 44 years old.
A Christmas Prayer
by Robert Louis Stevenson a Scottish novelist, poet, essayist, and travel writer.
Loving Father,
Help us remember the birth of Jesus,
that we may share in the song of the angels,
the gladness of the shepherds,
and worship of the wise men.
Close the door of hate
and open the door of love all over the world.
Let kindness come with every gift
and good desires with every greeting.
Deliver us from evil by the blessing
which Christ brings,
and teach us to be merry with clear hearts.
May the Christmas morning
make us happy to be thy children,
and Christmas evening bring us to our beds
with grateful thoughts,
forgiving and forgiven,
for Jesus' sake.
Amen.
May you all be blessed this Christmas Day!
God Bless You!
