How To Clean Cast Iron ~ Chef Carie Partin

Hi, Sweet Friends,

We have another post from Chef Carie Partin! Chef Carie is going to teach us how to clean Cast Iron.

How to keep Cast Iron looking so good?

Scrub the pan with hot water and rinse well.

Heat the pan on the stove until all the water is gone.

While the pan is hot, season the pan with shortening.

* Be careful to NOT use a polyester pot holder. We picked a few up and they melted when lifting the cast iron pans handle.

Allow the pan to cool completely.

I love using Cast Iron to cook with!
