Thanksgiving Casserole
Hi, Sweet Friends,
MAD Hubby created a NEW RECIPE with the leftovers from Thanksgiving Dinner!!
Thanksgiving Casserole! MAD Hubby's original recipe!!
This is soooooo good!!
Ingredients:
3 ribs celery, chopped small
1 LG onion, diced small
1/2 stick of butter
1 box of stuffing mix
2 cups of Turkey, cubed or shredded
3-4 cups Water (more water may be needed if you like it moister)
3 eggs
3 cups leftover dressing or stuffing (MAD Hubby used his Corn Bread Dressing Recipe)
2 Tbs. Dried Chicken Bullion or Soup Base
Directions:
1. In a large pot place the butter onions & celery in and saute until the celery is tender.
2. Stir in the cornbread dressing.
3. Add the box of stuffing mix.
4. Stir and saute for another 5min (it will be dry"ish")
5. Put stuffing mix into a bowl with the turkey meat.
6. Mix together and add the eggs.
7. Mix until well blended.
8. Let the mixture sit while you bring the water to boil in the same pan that you cooked the celery and onions in (no need to waste all that good flavor).
9. Add the chicken bullion/soup base to the water.
10. Bring to boil.
11. Remove from heat and put it into the bowl with the stuffing/dressing mix.
12. Stir until blended.
13. The mixture should have a "soggy", not "soupy" consistency.
14. Place into a buttered baking dish and press into corners.
15. Bake at 375°F for 50 minutes.
ENJOY!
