5-Minute Organizing Tips For The Kitchen
Well, it is now Fall and things from Summer happen to stack up on the best of us! I looked in the kitchen drawers to find total chaos! Really! Things jumbled, things misplaced, things jammed, and things missing!! AAHH!
After a few moments and deep breaths, it's time to jump in and take 5 minutes to reorganize and decorate the kitchen for Fall!
The first thing I do is drawers. Drawers can be harbors for scary things, kidding aside, some of our kitchen drawers can be a bit of a mess with jumbled items that just accumulate from here and there.
So take 5 minutes to tackle one drawer at a time.
Are you popping a snack into the microwave for a few moments? Take this time to organize a drawer or two.
Are you prepping for dinner and need a sit-down? Fold napkins or press a table cloth. 5 minutes is all you need.
OK, now we all have one, a junk drawer. Well, we have a designated "Tool Junk Drawer" where all little handy tools go, but our worst drawer is the "Spice/Condiment Drawer". Yes, we have one of those that started well contained in zip gallon bags, but that doesn't seem to be working.
So, this is my little project for the next few days. I'll pop into it whenever I have some spare minutes to gather and sort. I have my spices in two containers and a bakery shelf, but this is kind of the catch-all for CHEF MAD Hubby. He just chucks in what he doesn't need and sorts through making a right mess of things.
I'm thinking we maybe have to resort back to baskets or organizers for this drawer. This is a good idea for you, too, if you have a drawer or drawers that need more than just 5 minutes of attention. Remember you can go back to it when you have a few more minutes in your busy day.
This is the Grill Utensils/Wraps Drawer.
This drawer houses the Mixer & Blades, Glass Measure Cup, and the Pyrex Dishes.
This drawer has the Knives, Kitchen Scissors, and the Odd Cutting Implements. I've tucked a plastic container with our marble napkin holders into this drawer as it is shallow and works well by keeping them together.
This drawer has all those need-to-grab-quick implements & utensils.
