Whole 30 Challenge ~ Week 2

Hi, Sweet Friends!

 We completed Week 2 of Whole 30.
Here are my thoughts on this second week...
We both struggled with no energy for the first of this week. As it progressed, we became more energetic. Though we do miss some of our regular meals: Taco Tuesday, Spaghetti Wednesday, and Pizza Friday! Ok, so we aren't indulging in these Favorites, but "they linger in our tastebuds' memories!" says Hubby. 

Since Spring is just around the corner, we think this was a good time to work the Whole 30 eating plan. We are looking forward to the downhill part of this plan. We do think we have changed some things about our diet for good. Like low salt, no added sugars, turkey bacon, turkey & chicken burger, with grass-fed beef on occasion. 

It is time to bring out the grill and get cooking outdoors. We will be making many meals with grilled meats & veggies. We found some great ones on Pinterest.
Day 8:
  • Banana & Cutie
  • Salad w/green pepper, mushrooms, tomato
  • Pork loin w/fresh pineapple and onions, baked sweet potatoes, and green beans
Day 9:
  • Salad w/green pepper, mushrooms, tomato
  • Cornbeef & cabbage w/potatoes
  • snack: 2 cuties
Day 10:
  • Banana & Cutie
  • Cabbage potato soup
  • Egg Foo Yung!! Chicken, mushroom, celery, bok choy, pea pods, peppers, onions, and bean sprouts
Day 11:
  • Banana, cutie slices, & pineapple bowl
  • Eggo Foo Yung, leftovers
  • Sausage (Jenny O), eggs, onion, and peppers

  • Salad With Dump Ranch Dressing
  • Potato Soup with Almond Milk, carrots, chicken, onions, and celery.
Day 13:
  • Banana
  • Salad with Italian Dressing & Baked Sweet Potato w/ghee
  • Salad w/Italian, 2 boiled eggs, Chicken patty, grilled onions
Day 14:
  •  Fresh Pineapple Slices
  • Scrambled Eggs, Turkey Bacon, and Hashbrowns
  • Turkey Gravy over Cauliflower and a side salad
